Ken Laffer, MAS, President and CEO of Motivators, Inc. began his career in the Men's fashion industry. After many successful years as an apparel manufacturer, Ken was looking for a new business opportunity in an equally demanding and ever growing field. Being accustomed to rapidly changing taste in fashion, Ken found the swiftly growing Advertising Specialty industry paralleled the fashion apparel business, and set off for a new challenge. Founding Motivators, Inc. in 1979, Ken fast learned that education was a key factor when planning, designing and executing a successful marketing campaign.
Our directors are responsible for guiding the Motivators staff. They each bring to the company a level of expertise that allows them to oversee, advise, and monitor their respective teams. Motivators’ directors reiterate to their employees the importance of treating our clients right. They also help to ensure that our organization runs like a well-oiled machine.
Our sales department is responsible for taking our customers through the entire presale process. Available for answering any questions about products, shipping, and pricing, the experienced sales team will make the order process as easy and convenient as possible every time. Over the years, our sales team has developed a reputation for treating each of our clients with personal care – we intend to keep that reputation in the future.
Responsible for maintaining all the books and records for Motivators, our accounting department crunches the numbers to figure out how to make the company run as efficiently as possible. Accounting takes care of our accounts received and accounts payable, so that we can continue to function smoothly.
The art department is responsible for designing all of the imprinted logos that appear on our products. Anything that our customers request be imprinted on an item must be created, edited, and approved by them. The team works together to develop a final product that will attract and interest the recipients of the items to be distributed. Sometimes our clients know exactly what they want; other times they leave it up to Art to get creative.
The customer service department dedicates itself to assisting customers in all aspects of their orders from shipping inquiries to billing questions. Team members pride themselves on having the patience and positive attitude necessary to make sure that everyone who contacts Motivators feels right at home. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, customer service will make sure that the issues is handled swiftly and with care.
Our IT department handles a broad range of duties involving everything from website management to equipment maintenance. The skilled team of developers, designers, and support coordinators work together to create the web portal experience that all of our customers enjoy.
The merchandising and marketing department works diligently to keep our products and pricing accurate for our customers. They are also responsible for updating existing customers on new promotions through newsletters and our social media applications.
After sales takes the initial order, the preparation department makes sure that the order is perfect before it goes out to the factory. The prep department also checks stock, create timelines to meet event dates, make shipping estimates, and check pricing. Additionally, they handle all internet orders and find alternative items for an order if the first choice is not available.
Motivators’ employees are cared for by our great team of receptionists and human resource professionals. The first voice clients and vendors hear upon calling the Motivators offices is that of our receptionist. It’s therefore the receptionist’s responsibility to be polite and helpful at all times; it’s important to make a great impression from the start. Reception receives calls and transfers them to the appropriate extensions while also responding to general inquiries. Our HR team provides employees with ongoing support regarding compensation and benefits. HR also ensures that employees are happy and healthy by planning fun events, interesting incentive programs, and more. In addition to keeping our current records up-to-date, HR is always on the lookout for new talent and the next potential member of our great team.
