Motivators Raises Over $2,000 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

For the fourth year in a row, Team Motivators raises thousands for the American Cancer Society at the "Making Strides" walk at Jones Beach

Westbury, N.Y. October 19, 2010. Long Island-based promotional products distributor Motivators, Inc. has announced that it raised over $2,000 in the American Cancer Society's annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk". Held at Jones Beach in Wantagh, Long Island, the event attracted 55,000+ walkers and raised over 2 million dollars for breast cancer research. This marks Motivators fourth year of participation in the Making Strides Walk, and to date the company has raised over $10,000 for the cause.

Though the walk was the culmination of this year's fight against breast cancer, the fundraising process began in late August. The entire staff participated in raising as much money as possible, even though not every employee at Motivators was able to walk. The Motivators team made the trek sporting custom imprinted breast cancer T-shirts designed by Anthony Fattibene in the art department. The T-shirts featured two pink ribbons as feet, which unified the official symbol for breast cancer with the premise of walking.

Motivators CEO Ken Laffer, MAS was exceptionally pleased with the result of this year's breast cancer walk. "I am very proud of our staff for all of their continued efforts in the fight against breast cancer," he said. "It takes a truly dedicated and courageous person to work for a cause as important as finding a cure for breast cancer. I am delighted to be able to work with people such as these on a daily basis."

Not only is Motivators an active participant in walking to find a cure for breast cancer, but they have also donated 10% of the proceeds on all breast cancer awareness items to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc.
